Utah Trip - July 10, 2016 - Last Get Together Campfire

We had passed a gaudy, tourist attracting shop made out of a train caboose many times and also a gift shop and information center; so, we decided to stop. Shannon was not pleased with tha fact that ALL of them were flat-assed CLOSED! !

This plaque was on the log cabin that Shannon was looking at.
I moseyed around the corner and , Lo and Behold , THIS was the Information center which was most definitely CLOSED! HA1
These were paintings in Mt Pleasant that were painted by Shirley Klevens' son, the one who worked for Disney as a cartoonist. They looked like REAL statues! He did a great job!
We did some shopping, ate and then we headed back about sunset to the Lazy Inn where we were going to have a campfire and make smores! This is the Lazy Inn's sign. The sunset was just beginning to give the pictures some beautiful lighting.
So...we continued on into town and stopped at the SPRING rock that Spring City was named for. I checked out the water, and it was yummy (you know, for water anyways)!
Mary had a cousin, Larry, who was traveling with his wife, Bonnie, around some rodeos in Montana and Wyoming. They drove ALL the way down to attend the family festivities. Bonnie is a professional barrrel racer! Cool! This is Bonnie, Larry, and Rick at the Lazy Inn.
Mary was having a good time "catching up" with Bonnie and Larry.
Dick and Mary.
Riley, Carla and Jody catch up with Bonnie and Larry.
Shannon was out taking pictures in this beautiful sunset lighting. I joined her! This is Horseshoe Mountaiun. The Lazy Inn was right in the foothills of the mountain. Cool!
From another angle.
The sagebrush was pretty.
The sun begins to leave us.
The owner of the Lazy Inn was very nice. That's him and his son to the right just above the red cup! He spent quite a while watering down the whoie area around where the campfire would take place. The area was VERY dry;so, he couldn't take chances, but he made us quite a bonfire! Shannon, Shelly and Carol got ready to make Smores!
Shannon seemed to be a Pro at Smores...and they were YUMMY!
Everyone had a great time! We went away smelling like a bonfire! HA!
Shannon still cooking Smores!
