This is called Natural Bridge. The name is misleading. This is a link to the Park website wher e they explain that--> http://www.nps.gov/brca/planyourvisit/naturalbridge.htm

Bryce is a beautiful nation park. Pretty much different from Zion. Barbara Hawkins mentioned to me that in Zion, you look up and in Bryce you look down which pretty much is true. In Zion the park was built from then canyon floor, so, you look up at the surrounding canyons walls. In Bryce, although you can hike down to the canyon bottom, it was built along the canyon rims, so, you look down.

Ruby's Inn was great! It is very historic. Was built before Bryce ever was a national park. It has a little settlement unto itself. Grocery store, knick-knack shops, ice cream shops, and a restaurant. This is Mary sitting under the welcome sign in the lobby.

Me at the Natural Bridge.

Mary said the she and Dwain came up to Inspiration Point when she was a teenager. She wanted to take a picture there and send it back to Dwain!

Some of these very distinctive rock formations are called Hoo-Doos. This link will tell you how they were formed--> http://www.nps.gov/brca/naturescience/hoodoos.htm/index.htm

Driving Out of Bryce Canyon.

After Bryce, we took off for Spring City to see where Dwain grew up. We stopped in Manti to take a picture of the Manti Temple.

Grannie's house from the front.

This was Dwain's granmother's house. I took it through the car window in Spring City.

The Spring City High School where Dwain went is under renovation...gee, I think Dwain is too!
