Next day we had Ann for a guide. We started out in Santa Clara. This was Jacob Hamblin's house. Read about him here http://www.utah.com/mormon/hamblin_home.htm

Mary and I had twin blue shirts that said " My State is Bigger Than Your State" . We didn't get killed and had a few laughs from some folks. We were okay as long as we didn't bump up against someone from Alaska!

The hollyhocks were blooming when we were there. And oh so pretty!

Mary was doing great at being sociable to our tour guide until she called him Elmer. We were quick to point out that his name was ELDER Davis!!! Hee...hee..

When we went to the restroom, I had gone ahead of those two. I decided to break Ann in by holding the restroom door shut from the outside. It was pretty funny. She took it well! Outside the ladies rest room of this genuine restoration of Hamblin's house, was this genuine NEW lightbulb! HA!

Some of the wind sculptures.

Next we went to an artists' colony a Kayenta. They had quite a few studios and galleries in the same little area!

The Tuacahn Amphitheater where live performances are presented.

They also have a housing development at Kayenta. The houses have to be no higher than 13 feet. They also have to blend into the ladnscape. This was one of them.

After Santa Clara and the Kayenta Artists' Colony, Ann took us to the outdoor theatre called Tuacahn. This was on the way.
