Today we went along the eastern side of the Yellowstone loop. We followed the Yellowstone River for quit a ways.

Whenever you see a traffic jam , you know that they have spotted something of interest! We lucked out and saw this elk family!

We stopped at the LeHardy rapids along the Yellowstone River.

We had to get back early today to Jackson Hole, because it was Dolores birthday and Dwain had paid for meals at the Bar BJ Ranch. My birthday was June 21st so he paid for mine too! That was really nice of him; so, we really needed to get back! This was at the start of the mud volcano area. It smelled like a fart around it, but it was pretty impressive!!

I think I was most impressed with the Dragon's Mouth than any of the other Yellowstone sites. They have a LOT of youtube videos on it on the web. It makes rumbling noise like a dragon and sprews forth smoke! Very Impressive!

Mud Volcano

Grizzly Fumerole

On the way back to Jackson Hole we saw a couple other buffalo. Well, mostly, Dolores saw the buffalo! She had hawk eyes when it came to seeing wildlife!

Churning Basin

Remnants of the wildfire Yellowstone had a couple years ago.

On the way to the BBQ at the Bar J ranch, we saw this moose at the side of the road!
