Just for Fun

Jean Norris sent me this picture that she took of Roscoe "supervising" the cats while they eat. She entitled it " Don't Even Think About it!"
Dena feeds her cats. Why are they on the patio roof, you ask? Well, Dena recently acquired a blue Lacey puppy called Roscoe Parker who takes exception to cats eating in front of him!
Dena with the King of the House - Roscoe. Marchita sent me this picture which I thought summed up the dog/mistress situation nicely. HA!
This chair seems to be occupied!
Meal time is always fun at these retreats because artists are well known for being GOOD cooks! We eat VERY well ! The only rooster among the hens this time was Kim Chatman, Lynn's husband. He would go off exploring during the day while we painted, and he'd come back in time for supper!
Old dog teaches young dog new tricks! This is 15 year old head of ranch security , Sadie, trying to get that pesky puppy to mind her!
Kim went out one day to tour around the Llano area and rescued a few tortoises that were attempting to cross the road. He released them on Dena's ranch, because everyone knows Dena takes in strays!

Roscoe took exception to the turtle herd and let it be known at the top of his bark voice!

Dena had another blue Lacey dog when we went out to the Rock Race Retreat in May, but Austin had an HIV bikeathon that went through her ranch, and Jody took off after the cyclists. Dena took off after Jodyi and stopped at 2 rest stops where Jody had been seen "passing through". At the third Gatorade stop she asked again, but they had not seen Jody, so, someone picked up Jody and did a fine job of dognapping.

Dena let me, Shirley Blevins, and Mary Blain chip in on the purchase of a new puppy. We are now the proud dog godparents of Roscoe Parker!

It has been so dry that the ranchers have to give the stock extra feed; so, Dena has been feeding her 3 minature donkeys at the donkey stop which you see here. I always bring some of that Olathe corn for the duck race, and we got pictures of them eating the husks! Thanks to Jean Norris for this picture of the girls!
Roscoe herding the tortoises.
Roscoe says - " I don't get it...this painting stuff is really boring!"
Really boring!
It's so boring, I'm snoring!
