I totaled up all the points and took off several deductions. Barbara Haviland was new to the race and was asking about the scoring system. I think that is a very reasonable thing to do, but everytime she asked, I deducted a point for "Annoying the Scorekeeper". She asserted as to how this "race was fixed" and decide to stop asking reasonable questions...heh...heh...heh! Anyway , Mary Blain's granddaughter had made these primo trophies for the race. So, THANK YOU, Jodi Baker. Also, this year was the added attraction that she made the trophies with clay that hardened. Last year she had not, so, when Vie Dunn-Harr won last year's race, her trophy kept drooping! HA! This was Vie last year. She says she still has the trophy in her studio but has to be on constant guard against "Trophy Droop".

This is Jodi's 1st Place Trophy. It has a skunk in it to commemorate the art retreat we had at the Bunkhouse a few years ago when a skunk got under the Bunkhouse crawlspace and left a "contribution" to the retreat that caused all the artists to make a mass retreat from the Bunkhouse! HA! What great memories!

This is the 2nd Place Trophy that Jodi made for the rock race.

After all the points were added up and subtracted, which was no mean feat since I had made a mess out of the score pad, Debra Latham came up as the total 1st Place winner. She was moved to tears by the honor!

This is the 3rd Place Trophy that Jodi made.

Ann Pfeiffer, who was being a very good sport about coming in dead last, awarded the trophies. Here she is awarding 2nd place to Barbara Rogers!

Ann Hoffpauir was also in tears as she accepted the 3rd place trophy!
