Ranch Rock Race 2010 - Art Retreat

We actually did some artwork while we were there!
Barbara Rogers worked some Plein Aire and some studio works. She does pastels and watercolor.
Ann Pfeiffer was working on some volunteer stools for a horse event that she was big into. She and her husband have a ranch where they used to breed horses.
Shirley Blevins was working on some watercolor flowers on clayboard.
Vie Dunn-Harr came up from San Antonio and visited with us Sunday evening. She managed to give some great critiques as she swept through the ranch!
Dena worked with us too. She started one of her cool new acrylics. Dena likes BRIGHT colors.
Mary Blain was working on a bluebonnet scene. She had lots of inspiration around the ranch!
Pat Lynch is signed up to go to Italy with Vie Dunn-Harr in the fall and was practicing her plein aire techniques by sketching the Bunkhouse.
Patty Browning was working in watercolors on Yupo.
Debra Latham started out working on a still life.
Debra started a painting of a calf after she had worked on the still life. This is her first day's results!
Patty took this picture of me with my dragon. I've been working on him for a few years off and on. One of these days, I might actually finish him!! Notice the primo red cowboy hat on my easel. I found that at the HEB in Bee Cave. A most excellent hat!
This is Pat Lynch and her Bunkhouse sketch after she put the beginning of her watercolors in.
Patty took this picture of the Plein Aire bunch down by the creek. Unfortunately, I am not one of those intrepid artist so didn't get any pictures of them working.
Mary took this picture of Vie (who came by for a visit) as she crtiiqued my Briar Patch painting that I had started as a demo at the Conroe Art League.
Dena has been working on some great acrylic paintings that have Cowboys in them!
I'm sorry I didn't get more pictures of Marchita and Ann Hoffpauir's works. They accomplished quite a lot and their work was beautiful.
Barbara Haviland was working on these three pieces out at the Bunkhouse. She has accomplished quite a bit and they look great!
Marchita was working on some plein aire pieces. The donkeys decided to help her!

Marchita took this photo of Judy Crowe and Dena down at the creek. It was a lot more beautiful than last year when the drought had it in its thrall.

Judy Crowe had just ended a workshop that she was teaching out at the Bunkhouse and stayed over one night ; so, joined us for one night!
