Trek to the Cosmopolitan (Just Across the Street!)

We were at the Excalibur to make some arrangement for the wedding which was being held there. Sharon suggested that we drive over to the Cosmopolitan to see all the crystal decorations they had inside. Darrell said "Oh, it's just across the street...we can walk". Should have been out first warning! HA! Darrell is a lot like our dad. Dad would take different "shortcuts" driving from Eliot, Maine to Bangor, Maine to visit the aunties. They almost always seemed LONGER to Mom rather than shorter!!! Anyway here is a map of our approximately 4000 ft hike! Now, this would not, ordinarliy cause a problem, BUT it was 110 degrees out and Sharon was looking a little peaked after a couple streets later!

Darrell told me to pose in this hand in front of the appropriately named store "Stupididiotic"! By the time we finished, my buns were BURNING!!!

We passed by these leaning towers along the trek!

This was out first shopping area along the trek. The sunflowers were cool! Sharon is beginning to drag!

We finally made it! This is one of the cyrstal displays!

This was really pretty , but Sharon looked VERY beat. She was so nice to suggest it, but I think the walk was a bit hot for her. ( I told her to look like she was dying for this picture...didn't take much acting).

It was just BEAUTIFUL!
