We stopped to get an ice cream at a shop that Mary and Dwain had been to in their youth. Very famous. I think I confused the girl when I said I just wanted a little cup sized scoop on my cone. I shoudl have left the "cup sized" bit out of there! She put a HUGE scoop on a cone and put them both in a cup! We HAD to take a picture!

We stayed in Mt. Pleasant at a Bed And Breakfast called Kleven's Heaven. It was cool. Shirley, the owner, was a fantastic cook (best french toast I've ever had!), and a primo gardener. This was one of her peonies.

She also had irises!

Driving to Salt Lake City to meet with Mary's childhood friend , Noellai and her husband Jim. This is the lovely conutry we get to go through.

We arrive in Salt Lake City, check in tp the hotel and then went to visit with Noella and Jim. This is out fron of Noella's hous. She has the mountains for a background!

These are Jim and Nolella's shrubs. I figured they were haunted. They reminded me of the movie called the Shining where the topiary moved when you didn't look at it!

We spent some time in the kitchen with Noella and Jim catching up. I happened to compliment Noella on her fingernails. They looked fine! She said that there were good except for these two that she help up. They had cracks in the nails.

One of Mary and Dwain's friends from the Utah days was Dolores. We went over to her house to visither. She was having a pool party for her grandkids.

Dolores had pretty landscaping. I really loved her poppies!
